[00:00:00:010]	When you first get to Google Maps it will probably present you with a map of

[00:00:04:030]	the place where you are if it knows where you are. And if you click this

[00:00:08:040]	little hamburger over here then you get a menu and one of the things

[00:00:12:040]	you can click on is 'My Maps.' If you've never made a map before, then

[00:00:16:050]	you'll just get a welcome screen. If you've got some you've already made, then you will

[00:00:20:070]	be shown a menu of those. But anyway you can create a new map

[00:00:24:080]	and the easiest thing I think to do

[00:00:28:090]	is to just type in the latitude and longitude of the placemarker that you want to set

[00:00:32:100]	so why don't we put in the location of the Japanese earthquake

[00:02:41:130]	that these things are where you think they are supposed to be.

[00:02:45:140]	We've got an earthquake off the coast of Japan, a couple of stations. One is close by, one is not close by.

[00:02:53:160]	And then click this share button. If you forgot to give

[00:02:57:170]	your map a title, it's going to remind you that it wants you to do that.

[00:03:05:210]	to login to Google you can change this so that it's public with anyone who has the link.
