This "WEB" section is conducted using online materials. The role of each is described below.
Online Resources
- Lessons: Lessons contain the bulk of the instructional material. While the material is similar to that covered in a traditional lecture, these online lessons are interactive, meaning that, in addition to text, they include animations (often narrated), practice activities, and video. The lessons also contain information "boxes" that provide you with additional information, reminders, and fun facts. You are responsible for knowing the information in these "boxes" for the exams, with the exception of the "fun facts" which contain trivia for those interested.
- Instructor-guided (narrated) lesson reviews are designed to help you review the material covered in the lesson.
- StudyMate Activites are designed to test your understanding of the material covered in the lesson. Attempt these to get feedback before taking the graded quizzes and exams.
- Online assessment tools (end-of-lesson quizzes, mid-term and final exams, "Home Activities") designed to gauge your understanding of the course content.
- Online communications and assistance through Canvas' e-mail and discussion forums ("message boards")
