Box 9.1 “Rape as a weapon of war” on pg. 252-253 of the Flint text explains that “rape is increasingly used as a weapon of war: it ‘routinely serves as a strategic function in war and acts as an integral tool for achieving particular military objectives.’ (Ramet, 1999, p. 206).” (Flint, 2012)
