Marie Louise Ryan

Marie Louise Ryan is a Ph.D. student in Geography. Originally from New Orleans, she has spent most of her life obsessed with food. She spent four years working on dairy farms making cheese in France and the United States. She has also worked on a small-scale CSA farm in Iowa. This passion for food and where it comes from led her to Iowa State University where as a graduate student she studied sustainable (and industrial) agriculture and community and regional planning. Currently, her Ph.D. research focuses on agrobiodiversity and traditional rice varieties in Nepal.

Teaching Assitant: Zach Goldberg

Zach Goldberg is a Master's student in Geography. He is also a farmer with diverse experiences around the globe.
