Processor Intel Core Duo, Pentium 4, or Xeon processor (2.2 GHz or higher)
Memory 4 GB or higher recommended, 8 GB or higher for courses in the Remote Sensing curriculum.
Hard Drive Space 60 GB free disk space. For courses in the Remote Sensing curriculum, an SSD hard drive is recommended.
Browser We recommend the latest Angel-supported version of Firefox or Internet Explorer. Monitor/Video Card SVGA or better resolution display (1024 X 768, 24-bit graphics). An Open GL-compatible video card required for courses in the Remote Sensing curriculum.
PLEASE NOTE: The following items will be used to support same-time (synchronous) communication in the MGIS program. Technical support for these products will be available only through the program faculty, not the World Campus Help Desk.
WebCam Optional for MGIS students: A WebCam.
Headset/Microphone Required for MGIS, GEOINT, and RS students only: A USB headset/microphone (it is important that it be a USB headset).
USB Required for MGIS, GEOINT, and RS students only: Computer must be USB-capable.

Request Help. If you still have not had any success, then its time for you to contact the HelpDesk. World Campus students should contact the Outreach Helpdesk. It is in your own best interest to be as specific as you possibly can. Vague descriptions of a problem only delay assistance. Try to include information such as:

  • the specific course page, quiz question, etc., you were on, what you attempted to do when that failed, and the exact language of any error message displayed on your screen;
  • the date and time when your problem occurred;
  • any other pertinent information (does the problem happen consistently and always in the same way, etc.).
