Office: 424 Earth & Engineering Sciences Building
I am a Learning Designer in the John A. Dutton e-Education Institute in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences at Penn State University. I have been in the education field since 1997 when I began my career as an elementary music teacher. In the last 20 years, I have had experience designing instruction for a wide range of learners - from preschoolers through adults. I joined the Dutton Institute as a Learning Designer in December 2013. My current faculty appointment is as a Lecturer.
In my position as a Learning Designer, I enjoy having the opportunity to collaborate with faculty to create meaningful course experiences that utilize best practices in online education. This dynamic, continually evolving field provides wonderful opportunities to network and grow as a learner, which I can then apply to my own design practice.
