Using the Penn State Library

PrintPrint

Just like on-campus students, you have a wealth of library resources available to you!

As a registered user of Penn State Libraries, you can...

  • search for journal articles (many are immediately available in full-text);
  • request articles that are not available in full-text and have them delivered electronically;
  • borrow books and other materials and have them delivered to your doorstep;
  • access materials that your instructor has put on electronic Library Reserves;
  • talk to reference librarians in real time using chat, phone, and e-mail;
  • ...and much more!

Activity

To make sure you are able to take advantage of Library resources in this course, please follow these steps now:

  1. Go to the World Campus and Distance Learner section of the Penn State University Libraries website and read through the information on the page.
  2. In the "Borrow" section, click on the links for My Library Account and ILLiad account to make sure you are registered for both.

In addition, the University Libraries has put together special listings of library resources related to meteorology  that you might find useful. Many other subject guides are also available!
