Overview

This lesson will briefly address how markets and goverments each affect the development of solar goods and services. Another way of looking at it from an economics perspective showing that we can't get "there" with just markets or just goverment, OR by marginalizing the crucial role of stakeholders on the ground in the locale of interest (the power of collective action is hugely important in the solar field). We will build from earlier lessons on electricity markets and integrate some of our learning from Lessons 7 and 8.

  • Electricity Markets and Services (Utility/Transmission Grid)
  • Governmental Role in Electricity Infrastructure and Planning (Utility/Transmission Grid)
  • Role of Regional and international Locale in Transmission Grids
