When creating a video it is important to think through what you are going to say and do long before you ever hit the record button. It is always best to start with a script and to include the following actions:
- Read all of the text that appears in the video
- Describe all of the images
- Verbalize what you are doing. For example, say "When I bend this wire" rather than "when I do this"
- Be aware of what you say. For example, rather than saying "click here," say "click on the start button"
- Test your script. Make sure a student is able to understand the video without the visual cues
