Create an outline

The first assignment is an outline of an infographic about your internship experience.

Consider what story you want to tell and create an outline

Because you've been journaling about both your personal growth and your weekly internship duties, you should have enough information to create your outline and infographic on both or either topic.

Once you have chosen the focus of your infographic, create an outline.

Outline Details

The outline should address the questions below and include some ideas for how you want to present that information on the infographic. This should include what you learned and how you grew through the experience, as well as what you did.

Keep in mind that this outline is a large percentage of your semester grade, so plan to spend significant time and effort thinking about this and sketching out a plan. It is unlikely you will figure this out on your first try, so keep iterating until you find something that feels right. Feel free to send me an outline or sketch in advance of the deadline. I am more than happy to provide feedback before you start creating the final product.

• Personal learning objectives

Infographic focused on internship duties

Use the questions below to help formulate the outline:

• Which UN Sustainability Development Goals (pick two of the most prominent ones) related to your internship experience?
• What issue, problem or challenge did your internship address?
• What is the motivation for the work that you did during your internship?
• What communities were impacted by the work you completed?
• What tools, skills, experiences, classes, etc. helped you navigate your internship?
• What resources did you use to help you be successful at your internship?
• What were some of the challenges you faced during your internship? How did you overcome those challenges?
• What did you learn from this work? Did you learn more about an area of interest?
• Is there anything else you want to add about the experience or your project?

Self-growth focused infographic

Use the questions below to help formulate the outline:

• Which UN Sustainability Development Goals (pick two of the most prominent ones) are related to your experience?
• What learning objectives were you working on during your internship experience?
• What tools, skills, experiences, classes, etc. prepared you for this experience?
• What were some of the best moments during this experience? Why?
• What are some of the challenges you faced? How did you overcome those challenges?
• What did you learn about yourself from this experience?
• What questions were raised as a result of this experience?
• How has this experience impacted what you'll do next?
• Is there anything else you want to add about the experience or your personal growth as a result of completing the internship?
